Lacryma Christi wine tastings at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius

A passion for Lacryma Christi, the wine that comes from this area at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius, is tied to the local territory and traditional cuisine. The magic of this landscape is intimately bound up with the wine that comes from it and the culinary traditions that surround it.
We offer our guests various tasting experiences to get to know our wine, accompanied by traditional local products and the stories of those who work this land.
You can choose between a tasting in the wine cellar (classic or superior) or a tasting with a private lunch in the Russo family villa. We also welcome you to experience our cooking class.

Piennolo tomatoes

Piennolo tomatoes

This heirloom grape tomato is grown only on the slopes of Mt. Vesuvius. It is harvested at the beginning of summer and traditionally hung in bunches to be preserved until the following spring. With its dense, flavorful pulp, this tomato variety is particularly suitable for pasta and pizza sauce, prepared by simmering with just a drizzle of olive oil, basil, and a pinch of salt.

Terraces and dining rooms

Terraces and dining rooms

Guests visiting Cantina del Vesuvio love to relax on our comfortable terrace overlooking the rolling vineyards and shimmering Mediterranean Sea, with the island of Capri on the horizon. This is where we hold our wine tastings. On chilly days, we host our tastings on our cozy veranda with its roaring fireplace. We also have a small club house, which is a rustic hut that was once used by the men who worked the fields.

Wine shop
